ActiveECG includes three software components:
- ActiveECG Palm OS application - runs on a Palm OS handheld version 2.0 or higher. This software displays real-time ECG data and permits you to record ECG strips for later review or transfer.
- ActiveECG conduit - runs on a Windows PC under Palm Desktop Software version 3.0
or higher. This software transfers previously recorded strips to the PC during a standard HotSync operation.
- ActiveECG Viewer application - runs on a Windows PC under Windows 95, 98, NT,
Windows 2000 or XP. This software allows you to view, annotate, print, and archive strips on a PC.
All of this licensed software for ActiveECG is available, without charge in the Downloads section. This allows you to use the ActiveECG hardware to record real ECG strips, transfer them to your PC, and email the strips to anyone else. Those emailed strips can be viewed with our licensed, no cost ActiveECG Viewer application at any remote location. You'll also find an arrhythmia simulator on the downloads page which can be used to simulate the ActiveECG hardware using the serial port from a Windows PC. This allows you to test drive a realistic demo of ActiveECG without having the hardware.
ActiveECG Palm OS Application
The ActiveECG Palm OS application is the software that interacts with the ActiveECG hardware to monitor and record ECG data from a patient. The Palm OS application is unique in its design. The user-interface for obtaining ECG data can be controlled with your finger instead of the stylus. Of course, the stylus can still be used, but your finger will work well for all of the non-configuration uses of the software.
The ActiveECG Palm OS application consists of a user-interface displaying three tabbed folders. The "Patients" tab allows you to organize your strip recordings by patient name. The "Monitor" tab is used for real-time display of the ECG data and recorded strips. The "Strips" tab allows you to review, delete, and beam previously recorded strips.
ActiveECG Viewer application for Windows
Once strips have been transferred to a Windows PC, the ActiveECG Viewer application can be used to view, annotate, print, and archive them. Strips on a PC can be saved to a file and transferred to another user with the ActiveECG Viewer application (which is licensed software available without charge in the Downloads section).
